Each year many people unknowingly purchase homes or rent apartments that were formerly meth labs. In 2012 alone, there were 259 known meth labs located in Madison, Limestone, Marshall, Jackson, and Morgan Counties. Although decontamination services are available, decontamination alone may not be enough to completely remove the hazardous chemicals from the home. Learning how to spot a former meth lab before you purchase or rent a new home/apartment can save you time, money, and medical bills.
